The 21st century has been introduced as a century of knowledge. In this age, the main capital of societies is their knowledge, skills and human resource attitude. Entrepreneurial capabilities are needed in order for this capital to serve the community. Entrepreneurship has been recognized as an important factor in order to create evolution toward known sustainable products and processes. Studies show that one of the strategies for economic development is creating employment and its most important mechanism and tool is entrepreneurship. Today, the role of entrepreneurship as the engine of economic development has been widely recognized by policymakers in many countries, including Iran. Therefore, investing in entrepreneurship capabilities of human resources has a special status. Entrepreneurship is closely linked to economic and social development of countries and is considered as one of the indicators of development in developing countries. The promotion of entrepreneurship in agriculture sector is one of the most suitable options for boosting agricultural businesses and increasing value added resulted from agricultural product exports and especially an essential strategy for replacing agricultural income instead of oil income. Entrepreneurship reduces unemployment, increases people’s efficiency, resources and ultimately, increases community people’s income.
