Nowadays, the embargo is one of the effective tools for putting pressure on the countries that do not give up to the wants of the superpowers. Embargoes are essentially enacted and enforced to create political instability in the intended countries. However, they, more than anything else, cause suffering and torture to the citizens. Based on the extant documents and reports, the embargoes imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran have caused it to sustain intensive shortages and bottlenecks especially in the areas of healthcare, drugs, and treatment, and this is a wastage of the Iranian citizens’ health right and a vivid example of the human rights’ violation. Despite the emphases made in the international treaties and conventions, particularly under the conditions of corona virus’s outbreak in Iran and the world, some of the countries, including the US, are constantly increasing pressures on the people of Iran while disregarding the global wants and change the regime in Iran (by creating discontent and social uprising). The present study explicates the significance of the relationship between the embargoes imposed on Iran and its political stability (instability).
